How market prices are structured
When comparing offers in Köln, you'll come across three pricing models. They differ less in the actual price and more in what a session includes.

With the GOÄ, the price depends on the billing code, the multiplier and the area. That's why many clinics only give you the exact amount after a consultation. Chains and beauty studios often work with IPL or diode lasers and advertise prices for tiny areas. A promotional price like that tells you very little about what your underarm or leg will actually cost. Studios with Alexandrit and Nd:YAG are less common. The duration applies per session. Underarms take ten minutes, full intimate area 15, full back 40, full legs 45 minutes and full body around three hours. This is important for Köln residents: you can combine several zones in one appointment and only have to travel once. Combined zones are also cheaper than the sum of the individual zones. Complete series calculated

Factoring in the journey from Köln

Packages, instalments and flat rate
A package at Laserazor is an upfront purchase of 3, 5 or 10 sessions for one area. It's valid for 24 months, can be redeemed in all studios, and lowers the price per session – by 20 to 45 percent in the 10-session package.
Packages. For underarms, you pay 79 € for a single session, 65 € per session in a 3-session package, 51 € in a 5-session package, and 48 € in a 10-session package. Ten sessions spaced six to eight weeks apart take about one to one and a half years. The 24-month validity leaves plenty of room for a summer break or a rescheduled appointment. Purchased packages are valid in all Laserazor studios, so you can also have a session in Berlin, Hamburg, München or Augsburg.
Instalments. From a total price of 300 €, you can pay in 12 instalments at 0 %. Full legs in a 10-session package (1.800 €) would be 12 instalments of 150 €, while underarms and full intimate area as a combo (1.190 €) would be 12 instalments of 99,17 €. The total price stays exactly the same as paying upfront.
Flat rate. The VIP flat rate starts at 109 € a month. It's an alternative to a package if you prefer paying monthly. Before signing up, do the maths for both options: the total package price versus the monthly fee multiplied by the number of months you plan to use it.
Spotting hidden costs
Most surprises don't come from the price per session, but from everything else around it. You should clarify these points before you buy.
- Consultation and skin type check. Some providers charge extra for the consultation or only offset it when you buy a package. Ask beforehand. At Laserazor, the skin type check and test pulses are part of the 0 € trial session, which covers a complete zone, with no purchase and no subscription required.
- Area. A promotional price might only apply to a small partial area. Ask them to show you exactly which area the price covers. At Laserazor, every price applies to the complete zone.
- Aftercare and top-ups. Hormonal changes can trigger new growth, in which case a top-up session is usually enough. Ask what a single session costs after your package ends. On the Laserazor price list, this is the single price for the zone, which is 79 € for underarms.
- Package duration. If unused sessions expire after a short time, any break becomes expensive. Laserazor packages are valid for 24 months.
- Additional sessions. If ten sessions aren't enough, you'll need more. Budget for the full range of 8 to 12.
- Sun protection. After every session, you need SPF 50 on the zone for two weeks. It's a small but regular expense.
- Travel. From Köln, that's eight to twelve trips, plus parking if you drive, either in the Friedrichstraße underground car park or the Talstraße multi-storey car park, both of which are chargeable.

Three calculation examples
Underarms only
Ten sessions in a 10-session package cost 480 €, while ten single sessions are 790 €. At a dermatologist charging standard GOÄ rates of around 90 to 150 € per session, ten sessions would add up to roughly 900 € to 1.500 €. The treatment takes ten minutes. Since travel costs really add up for a small zone, travelling from Köln is mostly worth it if you're already in Düsseldorf anyway.
Underarms and full intimate area
As a combo, you pay 119 € per session in a package of 10, making the series 1.190 €. Both areas together take around 15 minutes. You save 150 € compared to buying two separate packages of 10, and you only have to make one trip for both areas.
Full back and shoulders
Interesting for men: Full back and shoulders cost 209 € per session in a package of 10, and the series is 2.090 €, which works out to 174,17 € a month in 12 instalments at 0 %.
