How the treatment works
- Skin type check and test pulses: We determine your skin type and hair structure and apply test pulses. This tells us whether to use Alexandrit or Nd:YAG.
- Shaving: The area should be shaved 12 to 24 hours before your appointment. We can shave your back in the studio if you like.
- Treatment: Cooling before every pulse, then pulse by pulse across the entire area. A full back takes 40 minutes.
- Afterwards: Slight redness for a few hours is normal. Skip sports, sauna and sun on the same day, and use SPF 50 on treated areas.
- Repetition: every six to eight weeks, usually six to ten sessions, until the area is permanently1 significantly reduced.
What men want to know before their first appointment
Does it hurt?
A short, warm pinch per pulse, barely noticeable on the back and chest, more intense in the intimate area. The Cryo cooling cools the skin immediately before each pulse. Nobody needs numbing cream.
Will it stay completely bare?
That's up to you. If you just want to thin the hair out, you'll need fewer sessions spaced further apart. If you want the zone completely smooth, you do the full course.
What about tanned skin?
We also treat tanned skin using the Nd:YAG laser. Just let a fresh tan from a weekend at the lake fade for a week or two.
How discreet is it?
Very. Every treatment takes place in a private room, and our specialists see men with the exact same questions every day.
