How laser hair removal works.
What happens in the hair
The laser emits light of a single wavelength. The pigment in the hair absorbs this light and converts it into heat, which damages the hair root. This principle is called selective photothermolysis and has been described since 1983[1]. The treated hair usually falls out 7 to 14 days after the session.
Why you need multiple sessions
Only about 20 to 30 percent of the hair in a zone is currently in the growth phase, and the laser only reaches these hairs. That's why we usually plan 8 to 12 sessions at intervals of 4 to 8 weeks. After 2 to 3 sessions, you'll usually see significantly less hair.
This is what laser hair removal costs.
Prices apply across all six studios. Packages are valid for 24 months, and for totals over 300 €, you can pay in 12 instalments at 0 %.

Two wavelengths for all skin types.
The right laser for your skin
The Alexandrit laser at 755 nm absorbs hair pigment best and is ideal for light to medium skin. The Nd:YAG laser at 1064 nm penetrates deeper and protects the pigmented epidermis, making it perfect for darker skin. Together, they cover skin types I to VI.
Grey, white, and very light hairs contain barely any pigment, which means no laser can target them. We'll let you know if this is the case right away during your skin analysis.
Equipment and cooling in the studio
In Berlin and München, we use the Lutronic Clarity II and DEKA Again Pro, in Augsburg the Lutronic Clarity II, and in Hamburg the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus. Cold air at minus 30 °C or a cooling spray cools your skin with every pulse. Thanks to this, most clients only feel a quick pinch. Read more about it in our Alexandrit or Nd:YAG comparison.
