What "permanent" honestly means.
What you can expect
The US FDA uses the term "permanent hair reduction" for lasers. This means a stable reduction in the number of hairs over a period longer than a complete hair cycle. After a full series, significantly less hair grows back in the area, and the remaining hairs are often finer.
What no method can promise
No method removes every single hair forever. Grey, white, and very light hairs contain hardly any pigment, which is why no laser can reach them. Hormonal changes can trigger new growth, in which case a top-up session is usually enough. The result also depends on your skin, hair, and age.
